How It Works
At the initial consultation you will meet the pet sitter and they will meet your pets. It is important your pets and the sitter are comfortable with each other, this will reduce any stress on your pet while you are away – that is why we will never accept a new client without going through this process.We will then discuss what services you need and for how long, then complete the Service Agreement, the Pet Profile and Vet release form.
We also usually collect a key at this point. Keys held by the office are stored in a locked box separate from service contracts or other client information. We code our keys with a secure coding system that prevents anyone from linking the key back to the client. If you prefer not to use our safe key service, a pickup/drop off key charge of $10 will be added each time the key is collected after the initial visit.
Payment is required in full prior to the commencement of service. You can pay in cash at the conclusion of the initial consultation, or we can email you an invoice that can be paid via EFT prior to the commencement of your service.
Your booking is not confirmed until paid for. The initial consultation is ideally held between 3 to 7 days prior to your vacation or travel plans. Cancellations must be made within 3 days prior to vacation or travel. A cancellation fee of $30 will be charged for all late cancellations.
Once your vacation has commenced we will visit your home as often as you have requested. We will play, feed and water your pets, bring in/take out the bins, check the security of your home and water any pot plants. We will send you text message and/or email updates on how your pet is faring while you’re gone.
When you return home we ask you to contact us so we know you have returned safely and your pet no longer needs us.

When you have to leave your pet in the hands of another, it can be an anxious experience. I was so nervous to leave our cat Gizmo when we went overseas recently, but Julie really helped to soothe my nerves. She sent daily emails of her adventures with Gizmo, accompanied with photos and even a video on occasion. I was so happy to see how well Gizmo was doing I cried when I received the first few emails.
